Welcome! I’m Doug Hemmings.

At 79 years old, I’ve spent over half a century with a metal detector in my hand, listening for the quiet hum of history buried just beneath our feet.

For more than 50 years, every beep has held the promise of a forgotten story waiting to be uncovered.

The picture you see here isn’t just about a good day in the field; it’s a snapshot of a lifelong passion.

From rusted relics to silver and gold treasures, every discovery connects us to the people who walked these lands long before we did.

Whether you’re a seasoned detectorist, a fellow history enthusiast, or just curious about what lies below, I’m glad you’re here to share in the adventure.
